Things To Do In Virgnia's Northern Neck This Weekend
There always plenty to see and do in Virginia's Northern
Neck. Here's a sample.
Weekend of June 18-20
Saturday, June 19 - The Washington's Birthplace National Monument in
Westmoreland Country will celebrate Juneteenth at the site, with special
displays, music, poetry and stories. June 19 is celebrated as the official
end of slavery in the southern states, when the Emancipation Proclamation
was read on June 19,1865, at Galveston, Tex. Speakers are scheduled from
11 am to 4 pm.
Weekend of June 25-27
Saturday June 26 - The Second Annual Kilmarnock Wine Festival will take
place on North Main Street at the Farmers Market. The festival will run
from 11 am until 5 pm.
